Cat Mouse Cliche

Once upon a time there was a mouse named Jimothy. Well, actually, he was a crocodile; he just looks like a mouse, because he's magic and stuff. So, anyway, he was running around being a furry swamp monster one day, when a cat showed up. It turns out that the cat was a dragon, so the two rabid beasts high-fived each other.

The end.

Curse You, Copyright!

People will sometimes put images in their blog posts to make it a little more interesting, or to try and make it catch your eye so you'll read it. A great place to get pictures from (without infringing copyright, that it) would be Flickr Creative Commons; a website a lot like Google images, but a lot of them allow you to use them without breaking any laws, so it's altogether better than Google images if you're willing to go the extra mile to avoid getting sued. You still need to add attribution, though; the best place to do that would be through a caption above or below the picture you're using.

Obscure Post

Since I have nothing to write a post about, and absolutely have to have something on here, apparently; I decided to just write a post informing you that I have nothing to post about. It worries me that anyone would read a post titled 'Obscure Post' anyway. Man, I'm really abusing the word post. Alright, now I'm just writing for the sake of writing. I wonder if I'll actually post this? Who knows. Well, you do, if you're reading it... Hey, do you think this counts as an 'interesting post'? If so, then I need to write two more... If not, then... meh.

Why is it difficult to discuss money?

I honestly have no idea why we don't discuss money. Okay, maybe it's because it's viewed as 'impolite', but you could say the same for just about any i nteresting topic there is. Money doesn't define us, and it really doesn't matter much anyway; but maybe that's just what I think now because I'm only an eighth grader. So, in conclusion, I'd just like to say that I don't know, nor do I really care.

Election 2010

This recount for Minnesota Governor is sort of ridiculous. Republicans think that they can still win with 8,855 votes against them. Democratic nominee Mark Dayton says that he doesn't think a recount will make a difference.
Election officials will be double checking, by hand, all the votes. They'll probably be done by next Friday. After that, the results will be sent over to the state canvassing board, who will meet about it on November 23. If the winning margin is anything less than 10,500 votes, this whole process will be repeated again.

Political Ad Assignment

Before you read what I have to say, I suggest you actually watch the ad I'm talking about-

Tom Emmer created the ad to get people to vote for him. The advertisement used repetition, and featured his family to make him seem like just another guy; it didn’t attack anyone or put anyone down, which is nice for a change.
I think that it is a very nice ad, and like I said, it’s refreshing to see a candidate who isn’t trying to attack everyone else, but simply tries to tell you what he plans on doing. The ad does make me want to vote for him, for the reasons I just listed.
