Election 2010

This recount for Minnesota Governor is sort of ridiculous. Republicans think that they can still win with 8,855 votes against them. Democratic nominee Mark Dayton says that he doesn't think a recount will make a difference.
Election officials will be double checking, by hand, all the votes. They'll probably be done by next Friday. After that, the results will be sent over to the state canvassing board, who will meet about it on November 23. If the winning margin is anything less than 10,500 votes, this whole process will be repeated again.

  1. Sophie,
How complicated! But, it is state law so at this point we don't have a choice. I am interested now in discovering just when and why this process was made law. It is usually done with the best interest of the voters in mind. I'll let you know if I learn anything more about it. (You'll listen to me right?)
